About TexturesFast

TexturesFast is an AI PBR material generator that creates seamless texture map sets from text, photos, or existing images for game developers, 3D artists, and visualization teams.

What TexturesFast does

Text to Material

Describe a surface in plain language, pick resolution and maps, and generate a tileable PBR set. You get Base Color, Normal, Height, Roughness, Metallic, and Ambient Occlusion where the workflow supports them. The result is a material you can preview and drop into an environment, prop, or look-dev pass without painting it by hand.

Extract Material

Upload a photo of one surface and turn it into a tileable PBR material. Clear, evenly lit photos of wood, stone, fabric, concrete, or metal give the generator something specific to follow. You leave with maps you can reuse across a floor, wall, or product shot instead of a one-off photo.

Image to Maps

Start from a texture you already have and generate the companion maps it is missing. A flat color image can become a fuller PBR set for Unity, Unreal, Blender, or Godot. You keep the source look and fill in Normal, Roughness, Metallic, Height, or Ambient Occlusion instead of authoring each channel yourself.

Preview and export

Check the material in the browser, then download individual maps or a ZIP pack. Subscription plans export up to 8K. Common outputs are PNG, JPEG, and WebP. Paid plans include a commercial-use license, subject to the Terms of Service.

What makes TexturesFast different

A map set in seconds, not a paint session

TexturesFast generates a PBR set from a prompt or upload, then you download it. Adobe Substance 3D Painter is built for painting a unique texture onto one mesh, and that work often takes hours or days depending on the asset and the artist. Use TexturesFast when the job is a tileable surface, and Painter when the mesh needs brush-level control.

Browser workflow, no desktop install

You open the dashboard, sign in, and generate. Adobe Substance 3D Painter and Substance 3D Designer are desktop applications with layer stacks or node graphs to learn first. TexturesFast stays in the browser, so a freelancer or a small studio can try a material without installing a texturing suite.

Materials that are not already in a library

Poly Haven is a free CC0 library of scanned textures. Poliigon is a paid catalog of photographed PBR materials. Neither generates a new surface from a sentence. TexturesFast does, including looks you describe as stylized, handpainted, or weathered when those words are in the prompt.

A monthly plan, or a one-time pack

Cancel a monthly subscription anytime from Settings. Plans renew each month. If you do not want a renewal, one-time packs start at $19 and the tokens do not expire.

Commercial use on paid plans, without selling your files

Paid plans include a commercial-use license for generated outputs, subject to the Terms. Public legal copy says TexturesFast does not sell prompts, uploads, or generated maps to advertisers or data brokers, and does not build advertising profiles from that content. You still review outputs before you ship them.

Who uses TexturesFast

  • Solo indie game developers building environments in Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot.
  • Small game studios and technical artists filling modular kits, props, and hard-surface sets.
  • Blender, Maya, and 3ds Max artists who need tileable PBR maps without a node graph.
  • Archviz professionals, interior designers, and real-estate visualization teams matching a reference photo.
  • Asset-store publishers and freelance material artists producing packs they can sell.
  • Film and VFX artists blocking in surfaces before a full paint pass in a desktop tool.

The team behind TexturesFast

Mike Caps, founder

TexturesFast is made by Mike Caps, who publishes as @mikecaps. TexturesFast was founded in 2026.

Where it sits

TexturesFast is one of three public tools from the same maker. TextureFast covers 3D texturing, and TrimSheetFast covers trim sheets. Support for TexturesFast goes to [email protected] and @texturesfast.

How TexturesFast works

Standard plans are self-serve. Create an account, pick a monthly plan or a one-time pack, and open the texturing dashboard. You choose Text to Material, Extract Material, or Image to Maps, set resolution and maps, generate, preview, and download. There is no onboarding call for Starter, Pro, Ultra, or Max.

You talk to the team by email at [email protected], on X at @texturesfast, or through the contact form. Support email typically gets a reply within 24 hours. Starter and Pro include email support. Ultra adds priority email. Max adds priority support and WhatsApp.

Generation itself is the short part: you describe or upload, then download the maps. If a result has seams or odd detail, change the prompt or the photo and generate again. Enterprise pricing and volume sit on the contact form, not inside the self-serve checkout.

Frequently asked questions

What is TexturesFast?

TexturesFast is an AI PBR material generator that creates seamless texture map sets from a text prompt, a reference photo, or an existing texture image. Paid plans export maps for Unity, Unreal, Blender, Godot, and other PBR workflows, with commercial use covered by the Terms of Service.

Who founded TexturesFast?

TexturesFast was founded in 2026 by Mike Caps, who publishes as @mikecaps. The same maker also ships TextureFast for 3D texturing and TrimSheetFast for trim sheets.

Who is TexturesFast for?

The product is built for people who need tileable PBR materials without a full paint or node-graph pass. That includes solo indie developers, small game studios, technical artists, archviz and interior teams, and freelancers selling material packs.

How much does TexturesFast cost?

Monthly subscriptions are Starter at $39, Pro at $99, Ultra at $299, and Max at $699. One-time packs start at $19, and those tokens do not expire.

Can I cancel a TexturesFast subscription?

Yes. Log in, open Settings, and cancel from the subscription controls. You do not need to email support to stop a monthly plan. One-time packs are a single purchase, so there is no renewal to cancel.

How is TexturesFast different from Substance 3D Painter?

Adobe Substance 3D Painter is desktop software for painting unique textures onto a specific mesh, often over hours or days. TexturesFast runs in the browser and generates a seamless PBR map set from a prompt or photo. Use Painter when every brushstroke on a hero asset matters, and TexturesFast when you need tileable materials quickly.
